I'm Jenna Haar, born into a family of artists and raised in an artsy neighborhood of Portland Oregon. Photography has been a part of my identity for as long as I can remember. I've had a camera on me since I was in elementary school back in the 90s (let's not do the math on that). My shooting style has been documentary-style photojournalism ever since I was a kid and I've carried that style with me into my professional career by applying it to branding.
Before I turned this lifelong skillset into a career nearly ten years ago, my background was hospitality for many years. A natural progression to blend my two backgrounds, my portfolio heavily reflects the hospitality industry. But my documentary style can be applied to any industry wanting to give their audience a peak behind the scenes of their process or a glimpse into the experience of their brand.

I capture events and branding shoots through the eye of documentary stye b-roll, focusing on details and showcasing the process/scene through vibrant candids. Which makes for some amazing organic content!

This is the first question I'll ask when planning out your shoot. What's the priority look and feel you're trying to portray? Dark and moody? Bright and airy? Fun and wild? Elegant and sophisticated? We'll develop the vibe before we start shooting!
